Colorless Green Ideas
無色の緑色のアイデア
無色(むしょく)の緑色(みどりいろ)のアイデアが猛烈(もうれつ)に眠(ねむ)るので、
Colorless green ideas sleep furiously so,
無色の空色(そらいろ)のアイデアも猛烈に眠っていたのだが、
Colorless sky blue ideas were sleeping furiously too, but,
無色で無色のアイデアは猛烈に眠れないでいる。
As for colorless and moreover colorless ideas, they are unable to sleep furiously.
無色の水色(みずいろ)のアイデアを猛烈に眠らせないように、

Evening, the sky imbued in scarlet,
Sun descending.
Mountain range, veiled in violet,
Moon rising.
Let Hamlet lie, Piglet play,
And the last Queen of France dance to the soundless minuet.
At the simple turn of a gimlet,
All dreams slip through the all-seeing eye.
Letters whirling,
Alighting gently on an amulet.
